Gaming and Layer 2 NFT Solution (Immutable X)
Within the last month alone, Immutable X has launched one of the first gas free and two layer solutions for NFTs. Now this may not sound like anything special for you, but allow us to explain what this means for you in further detail.
This event is part of history as NFTs face a lot of challenges for them to be placed on a marketplace and unlock their full economic potential. This two layer solution specifically helps with gas free trading and even minting of NFTs as well as making it easy for all miners to secure their NFTs. The gas free trades are essential, because all activities surrounding NFTs can take a big toll on the environment indirectly due to the amount of emissions that come from the computers. Saving the environment is always an important topic worldwide today and Immutable is certainly working hard to combat this problem as best they can.
Even though this is a big first step, Immutable X still has a larger goal in mind and released a map to portray this goal. Right now they are only in the very first part of their journey, with the end state being called “Utopia” which involves free and secure trading of NFTs on a daily basis. It is safe to say that this is not going around anywhere soon.
Now it pertains to gaming specifically, because that is where Immutable X has first launched. They have specifically gone into the game Gods Unchained and introduced their product there. After this test run and assuming it all goes well, they will move onto spreading this layer two NFT solution in other games until it is simply a part of our daily lives.
